Finding a job without a diploma in Algeria: accessible jobs, short courses, apprenticeship (2026)

No baccalauréat, no degree? Many jobs hire on motivation, reliability and know-how learned on the job. Here are those with offers right now, how to land them and how to get a recognised qualification quickly.

Without a diploma, it is easy to think every door is closed. It is not true: a large share of jobs in Algeria, in industry, logistics, retail, security or catering, are won on reliability, presentation and practical experience. A higher-education degree is rarely asked for; a driving licence, a short course or a vocational-training certificate often makes the difference. This guide starts from the offers published on Chghol to show the accessible jobs, then gives the method and the ways to qualify quickly.

The accessible jobs with offers right now

The table below counts the offers published on Chghol on 2 November 2026 in jobs where employers usually ask for know-how more than a higher-education degree. Careful: this is the job’s usual requirement, not that of each ad; always read the offer.

Landing a job without a diploma in 6 steps

  1. 1

Aim at two or three related jobs

Operator, warehouse worker and forklift operator are close; shop assistant, cashier and receptionist too. Target a small group of neighbouring jobs: you multiply offers without scattering your CV.

  2. 2

Write a one-page CV focused on the concrete

What you can do (drive a forklift, run a till, welcome customers), your experiences even short or informal, your licences, languages and availability. See our guide to writing a CV in Algeria.

  3. 3

    Get what unlocks the job

A licence, a forklift clearance, a short course in hygiene or cash handling: these often make the difference between two candidates.

  4. 4

    Register with ANEM

Your municipality’s office or the Wassit portal puts you in touch with employers and points you to employment schemes. See also the unemployment allowance and first job.

  5. 5

    Show up in person

Plants, warehouses, shopping centres, restaurants: for these jobs, a CV handed in person and good presentation matter a lot.

  6. 6

    Set alerts

A Chghol alert per job and wilaya tells you as soon as an offer appears; answering fast often makes the difference.

Qualify fast: vocational training and apprenticeship

Public vocational training is free and opens twice a year, with pre-registration on takwin.dz. CFPA centres prepare the first qualification levels (CFPS, CAP, CMP), open with a modest school level depending on the course; INSFP institutes prepare technician and higher-technician levels. The courses that lead to a job fastest are often construction, maintenance, refrigeration and air-conditioning, logistics and hospitality.

Apprenticeship (law no. 18-10 of 10 June 2018) alternates training at a centre and work in a company, with a pre-salary that rises semester by semester (executive decree no. 20-123). It is the most direct way to learn a trade while being paid and to get hired by the host company. Everything is detailed in our guide to career change through vocational training.

And working for yourself?

Many manual trades (electrical work, plumbing, hairdressing, sewing, repairs) can also be practised on your own. The self-employed status lets you start in a declared way: see our guide self-employed in Algeria.

Frequently asked questions

Can you really find a permanent job without a diploma?

Yes. In industry, logistics, retail or security, many open-ended posts are filled on practical experience and reliability. Read each offer: some ask for a minimum school level or a licence.

Which job is the most accessible?

According to the offers published on Chghol on 2 November 2026, production operator and warehouse worker have the most offers. They are also jobs where you progress with experience and short courses.

Is vocational training paid?

No, training in public institutions (CFPA, INSFP) is free. Registration takes place at the year’s two intakes, on takwin.dz.

Can you learn a trade while being paid?

Yes, that is the principle of apprenticeship (law no. 18-10): you work in a company and attend classes at a centre, with a pre-salary that rises semester by semester.

Should I put my school level on the CV?

Yes, honestly (« level 4th year middle school », « level final year »), followed by short courses, licences and experience. Never lie about a diploma: it is checked and it is serious misconduct.

How do I avoid scams?

Beware of « quick diplomas » and of offers that ask for money. Placement is free for the jobseeker (law no. 04-19).
